Integrating the Pilates Method: Common Shoulder Conditions
This two and half hour workshop provides both theoretical and practical information on many common shoulder conditions that may be presented to you in your class or studio.
A quick review of the anatomy of the shoulder is included, alongside muscle testing that can be used to observe movement in your client.
The workshop looks at a range of common shoulder complaints, looking at the presenting signs and symptoms. We also look at approaches to treatment, both a conservative and allopathic, that are currently offered by health professionals.
The workshop also covers a range of modified exercises that you may appropriate for each condition. These can be used as part of your overall programming or as part of a homework plan for your client.
This workshop forms part of the Post Graduate Pilates Certificate: Integrating the Pilates Method for Long Term Medical Conditions.
